A resident of Guilford County for almost 40 years, Betty Brown has spent 23 years working in the 18th Judicial District (Guilford County), beginning with 8 years as a Criminal Magistrate, 7 years presiding in Civil Small Claims court, and 9 years as an Assistant Public Defender. She has provided legal representation with trial experience at both the District and Superior Court levels.
Betty has gained considerable practical knowledge of the court system and brings a seasoned viewpoint of the judicial process and how it systematically fits into our society. She possesses a keen understanding of the importance of law and order. Along with that, Betty appreciates and respects our obligation to balance and protect both the rights of the individual and the rights of society.
Throughout Betty's many years of service in the court system, one of the most valuable lessons she has learned is the importance of treating everyone with dignity and respect. She has an excellent reputation with other lawyers, court officials, law enforcement officers, probation and parole officers, clients, and the general public.
She is committed to serving ALL of the citizens of Guilford County by using the skills, knowledge, and wisdom she has gained throughout her career.
